3-D Printed Non-Running Proof of Concept Chassis Mockup
This Test Article is one of four non-running 3-D printed mockup chassis during the development stages for Super 7. Additional photos show the 3-D printed box motor assembly. Printed parts were painted to give some realism to the article. Other existing parts were used to complete the mockup.
This example demonstrates the proprietary nature of the Super 7 chassis and the box motor assembly. This item is an early Phase 1 article.

Broken 3-D Printed Chassis from Track Tests
This Test Article is four of many 3-D printed chassis during motor and chassis design phases. 3-D printed material can be great in terms of resolution to test parts fitment. But due to its nature, it cannot take much abuse. However, in order to test basic chassis design, motor design, and traction magnet material strengths, some eggs get broken... .

3-D Printed Early Running Proof of Concept Chassis Mockup
This Test Article is one of a number of early running 3-D printed chassis during the development stages for Super 7. In order to actually get a running test article and to be able to test the application of hard-body clips, hand-made box motors had to be fabricated. This was accomplished by taking readily available Tomy Turbo and SRT box motors and milling the sides to memic the CAD model for the proposed parts.
All we had to do now was find a supplier that was willing to do the work. This item is a mid to late Phase 1 article.
This Test Article is one of a number of early running 3-D printed chassis during the development stages for Super 7 using a production box motor. 3-D printed chassis were use extensively to fine-tune the development of the new Super 7 box motor.

Running T-2 Pre-Production Injection Molded Chassis
This Test Article is one of a number of running chassis during the mold trial stages.
All we had to do now was find a supplier that was willing to do the work. This item is an early Phase 3 article.

Running Production Injection Molded Chassis
Polypropylene Material
This Test Article is one of a few chassis during material trials. Several different types and grades of injection molding materials was run in the mold to test assembly and on-track performance. These material trails were done at the suggestion of the mold house. However, none of the materials surpassed our original choice of PA66 or Nylon.
